My name is Ana and I started this blog as a way to share all of the beauty and lifestyle tips/tricks I had to learn the hard way. I'm a 23 year old with a knack for makeup and DIY, living in the South. Most would describe me as practical with a taste for the finer things in life. I felt that there was a lack of "average" women in the beauty world and that most of the bloggers were either in their teens and heavily sponsored or professionals with a seemingly unlimited bank account. Not that there is anything wrong with either, but wishing 'til we're blue in the face probably won't make any of us YouTube famous. Thus, Beauty & the Biologist (B&TB) is my way of attempting to fill that gap and have some fun with it too.
So before I fall face-first into a rant, I'm going to make this short and sweet. B&TB is my way of a) justifying my makeup collection and b) passing on all of the life hacks I've accumulated along the way. From getting your winged eyeliner even to renovating furniture, I've got you covered!
